Self sacrificing and putting everyThing and everyOne first will cause burn out, chronic health conditions, poor mental health, and absolute exhaustion.
It also can cause enormous rage… which we often internalise until we explode. SO not healthy!

We need to rewrite our story, to redefine our values and what strength or success is, and change society so that resting isn’t seen as lazy or weak.

This is a daily reconditioning that I have to do… to remind myself that it’s ok to rest, I don’t have to push push push all the time and do all the things for everyone
