Post Birth Care Package…
Why after the fourth trimester?
Because the meal train has stopped, offers of babysitting has stopped, you might be back at work or taking on more activities/responsibilities, your partner’s paternity leave has finished and society expects you to “be back to normal” … BUT hormones crash around 4 months, and babies often have a sleep “regression” meaning you’re on a hormonal rollercoaster with not as much sleep in your tank, plus all the life demands that have picked right back up.
Around 4 months is when the wheels can fall off for a lot of mums, but we self silence because we’re meant to have it all together and we don’t want to be judged for being a bad mum. It is ESSENTIAL that we give proper care, support and nourishment to mothers. This will lead to a decrease in Post Natal Depletion (read about Dr Oscar Serrallach’s amazing work!)
So if you have anyone in your life that had a baby a few months ago, put together a little package for them (mine is all shop bought as I’m at capacity, and honouring myself by not doing extra cooking or baking - that’s ok too!)
✨a nourishing, nutrient dense easy meal - mine was from LocaVore in Byron Bay
✨cacao with adaptogens to give a gentle lift without taking her adrenals on a ride - from Hummble
✨ high protein, easy snack for eating on the run/breastfeeding whilst packing lunchboxes
✨good quality chocolate that gives her magnesium without the sugar crash - LocoLove is a must have!
✨a face spritz for a quick, simple way to get a little self care in and smell good
✨and of course… flowers! I got this mama hers from Pikt in Byron Bay
This little package was for an incredible mum who I’m lucky to be in a community with 🥰
